Some facts:

According to a recent study by FICCI, India is expected to be home to a skilled workforce of 500 million by 2022. About 12 million persons are expected to join the workforce every year. This talent pool needs to be adequately skilled. Given the magnitude of the skill development challenge, implementing agencies are likely to face challenges right from mobilizing trainees, developing standardized and scalable content. The National Policy on Skill Development and set a target for providing skills to 500 million people by 2022. However, today the country faces a dearth of qualified and experienced Trainers and Consultants, to help take India on its desired growth path.

Believe India steps in:

The idea of creating a Believe India Consortium has been knocking our minds every since the beginning of Believe India Movement. BI Consortium is expected to contribute immensely to the future growth of India in many sectors. Discussing this mater within our members and other important players in the sector, we were overwhelmed by the positive response we received from everyone. Key stakeholders in the field, the Trainers, consultants and the industry responded positively to the need and opportunity. Encouraged by their response, Believe India Movement decided to take this challenge head on and setup a Consortium of Qualified and Experienced Trainers, Consultants, Mentors and Speakers. This consortium is aimed to work as a platform for creating linkages between the needs and the best available talent. We are setting up a pool of qualified and experienced Trainers / Consultants / Speakers / Mentors toward building the consortium. Believe India Consortium already had best of the brains in many sectors on board. BIC will be headed by a very experienced and known expert in the development sector. Profiles of the Consortium members and other details will be available very soon.
